Nick Shedd joined Mainsail Wealth Advisors in 2014. Before beginning his career in wealth management, he studied Business Management and Economics at Guilford College, where he also played collegiate golf and was recognized as an Academic All-American.
In 2014, Nick interned with Mainsail, assisting the team with financial planning and portfolio management research. After graduating from Guilford College, he officially joined the firm as a Financial Advisor in 2015.
Nick works closely with individuals and families who are preparing for retirement or already retired. He focuses on helping clients align investment strategy with their broader financial goals through comprehensive planning and disciplined portfolio management.
In 2021, Nick completed the rigorous coursework required to attain the Chartered Financial Analyst CFA® designation. The CFA® Program is a comprehensive three-part exam covering investment analysis, portfolio management, asset valuation, ethics, and wealth planning.
The Chartered Financial Analyst designation is widely regarded as one of the investment profession’s most demanding credentialing programs. As a CFA® Charterholder, Nick serves as a full-time member of the Mainsail Investment Committee and leads investment research and analysis for the team.
Outside of the office, Nick enjoys golf, woodworking, and carpentry. He and his wife, Caroline, live in Richmond with their children Hayden, Bowen, and Emilia.
