Gilda Burket is a Registered Client Service Associate with Mainsail Wealth Advisors, where she helps support clients with their retirement, investment, and service needs through a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach.

Gilda brings a unique background shaped by both financial services and international hospitality experience. Prior to entering the wealth management industry, she spent 17 years in the financial sector of the cruising industry, serving in roles including Crew Payroll Manager and Shipboard Financial Controller.

Originally from Tarlac, Philippines, Gilda pursued opportunities abroad after college, building experience across hospitality, administration, and financial operations while traveling internationally. Her experiences living and working alongside people from many different cultures continue to shape her perspective and client-first mindset today.

In 2013, Gilda transitioned from sea to land when she relocated to Richmond with her husband James. She then spent eight years with Wells Fargo Advisors and Wells Fargo Bank before joining Mainsail Wealth Advisors in 2022.

Gilda is known for her diligence, organizational skills, and dedication to creating a positive client experience. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening, volunteering at her daughter Eva’s school, supporting youth sports and activities, and spending time with family.

She is also an entrepreneur who owns a bookkeeping business and authored a children’s book titled Wasteful Sam.
