Nick Shedd joined Mainsail Wealth Advisors in 2014. Before starting his career in finance, he studied Business Management and Economics at Guilford College where he also played collegiate golf and was an Academic All-American. In 2014 Nick spent 4 months interning with Mainsail in which he assisted the team in financial planning and portfolio management research. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Guilford, Nick officially joined the Mainsail team as a Financial Advisor in June of 2015.
Nick works with individuals and families that are nearing retirement or currently retired. He is dedicated to providing clients with a comprehensive financial plan to help align their investments with their financial goals.
Nick is currently studying to attain his designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®). This program takes on average 4 years to complete with 3 exams, one for each level of curriculum. Having passed the CFA Level I exam in June of 2019, he is looking forward to the Level II coursework and continuing to build on his current foundation of advanced investment analysis and portfolio management.
Nick enjoys playing golf and has a passion for woodworking and carpentry. He and his wife, Caroline, live in Richmond with their son Hayden.
